What E009 Means
E009 on a Bosch range records the user interface failing the check it runs on its own program memory at every reset. Bosch disables all heating elements while it is active, which on a range means the oven and, on electric and induction models, the surface as well. The manual notes the error is cancelled at start-up if the next memory check succeeds.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Cut power at the breaker for two minutes so the range runs its memory check again. A single occurrence after a storm or a power cut is worth that one attempt before assuming the interface board has failed.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Bosch pairs this with a separate code for the control module, and the two need different boards, so the code has to be read correctly before anything is ordered.
- On a gas range the interface sits above the manifold, so the appliance gas valve must be shut off before working behind the fascia.
- A slide-in range sits tight between cabinets and has to be eased forward without scraping the countertop or stressing the gas connector.
- Interface boards are revision specific, and one that does not match the control module produces a configuration fault instead of a fix.
