What E414 Means
E414 appears on the same table row as the Cancel and Off key fault and is the form reported when the failure is logged internally rather than raised at the panel. The effect Bosch documents is the same: oven operation stops and the error is cancelled only by a system reset. The suggested checks are the touch pad assembly and the user interface board.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Clear power at the breaker for two minutes to perform the reset the manual specifies. Note whether anything had been resting against the control panel, since a cloth or a chopping board left leaning on the fascia can hold a key down long enough to trigger this.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A code that reports an internal error on the stop control is exactly the one not to work around with repeated resets.
- Bosch's own resolution path ends at replacing the front panel assembly if the service-mode key test fails, which is not a guess to make from outside.
- The control panel is bonded glass on many of these ovens, and separating it without the correct method destroys it.
- Panel work may affect what remains covered on a newer appliance, so check your warranty terms before starting.
