What E310 Means
E310 records a data memory failure on the control module rather than on the user interface. Bosch's description covers both a cyclic check of memory content failing and a write to memory failing, and in either case all heating elements are disabled with the error cancelled at start-up. The stored data includes the configuration the oven needs to operate correctly, which is why it will not heat while the memory is suspect.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Power down at the breaker for two minutes, then look at whether the clock and any saved settings survived. Settings that have reset themselves confirm the memory really did lose content rather than simply failing a check once.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Bosch's remedy here is the control module, a different and generally more costly part than the interface board its companion code points at.
- A module fitted without its option code set will not operate, so the replacement is only half the job.
- Access is through the upper plenum panel, where the oven's own service guide is taped, with the appliance out of its cabinet.
- Static damage during handling is a real way to destroy a new board before it has ever been powered up.
