What Er:24 Means
Er:24 on a Bosch front-load washer means the relay that feeds power to the motor drive has failed. The Nexxt table calls it a motor power relay failure attributed to the control module; the Vision manual describes a power supply relay to the inverter that is stuck and gives one remedy, replace the control. Either way the fault is on the board rather than in the motor.

- Motor power relay welded closed on the control module
- Relay failed open so the drive never gets supply
- Control module damage around the relay circuit
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Isolate the machine at the breaker rather than only at the controls, because a stuck relay means a circuit that stays connected regardless of what the front panel is doing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A relay stuck closed keeps the motor drive energised whatever the controls say, which is why the breaker is the right response.
- The relay is soldered to the control module, so this is a board replacement rather than a component swap.
- Bosch's own diagnosis uses the motor test programme, which drives the drum and is not a mode to enter casually.
- Control boards are model specific, and a fitted board is generally not returnable if the diagnosis turns out wrong.
