The NIT8669UC was an 800 Series 36 inch induction cooktop with Home Connect on a 37 inch glass. On any induction cooktop, the single most destructive thing an owner can do is let sugar boil over onto a hot zone. Sugar bonds chemically with ceramic glass at cooking temperature, and if it is left to cool in place it takes a piece of the surface with it when scraped off. Cleaning it off while the glass is still warm, with a proper ceramic scraper, is the only method that works.
