What E25 Means
E25 indicates the drain pump is blocked, or that the drain pump's cover is loose or missing, preventing it from pumping water out properly.
Common Causes of E25
- Debris or a foreign object obstructing the drain pump
- A drain pump cover that's improperly fitted or missing
- Failing drain pump motor
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check that the drain pump cover/impeller area behind the lower filter is properly seated and not visibly missing a cover piece — do not reach into the pump housing itself.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The drain pump is a motorized, live-voltage component — reaching into the housing without fully de-energizing the unit is a shock risk.
- A missing or loose pump cover is easy to misjudge from a visual check alone, and forcing it back into place without full pump access can crack the housing.
- Debris cleared incorrectly can be pushed further into the pump rather than out, turning a clog into a seized motor.
- Reinstalling the pump cover even slightly misaligned is a common cause of a new leak at the base.
- Pump housing access is one of the more common ways this warranty gets voided, since it sits under the base pan.
